Personal Caregiving Services

Focus on comfort and companionship with our personalized support. These services feature dedicated companion care, medication reminders, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. We also provide transportation for errands and appointments, ensuring you remain independent, socially engaged, and comfortable in the familiar surroundings of your own home.

Certified Caregiving Services

Experience professional clinical support from our Certified Nursing Assistants. Specifically trained for higher-level needs, our team assists with essential activities of daily living, including bathing, feeding, ambulation, and range-of-motion exercises. We provide the expert physical assistance required to keep you safe, healthy, and thriving at home.

Social Worker Services

Our Social Work team provides comprehensive medical, emotional, and resource coordination for clients and their families. Each advocate is Masters-prepared and licensed in Illinois, ensuring expert guidance. These specialized services are available upon client request or identified need to ensure your family feels fully supported and informed.

Services & Insurance

Private Pay (Out-of-Pocket)

Private pay offers the most flexibility and immediate access to care without needing a doctor’s referral or state approval.

Best For: Families who want immediate help, specialized schedules, or services that aren't "medically necessary" but improve quality of life.
How it Works: You are in total control. You choose the hours, the frequency, and the specific type of care provided.
The Benefit: No "homebound" requirements and no limits on the type of assistance our caregivers can provide.

Veteran's Administration

We are proud to serve those who served. Many veterans are eligible for home care benefits through the VA’s "Geriatrics and Extended Care" programs, which are designed to help you remain independent in your own home.

Best For: Veterans who need assistance with daily activities or require a "break" (respite) for their family caregivers.
How it Works: The most common program is the Homemaker and Home Health Aide (H/HHA) benefit. It is part of the standard VA Medical Benefits package, meaning if you are enrolled in VA healthcare and have a clinical need, you likely qualify.
What’s Covered: Assistance with personal care (bathing/dressing), meal preparation, and light housekeeping. For those with a higher "Aid & Attendance" pension rating, additional monthly funds may be available to pay for private home care.
How to Start: Contact your VA Social Worker or Primary Care Provider at your local VA clinic (such as the Danville or VA Illiana Health Care System). They will conduct a functional assessment and can authorize Bella's Home Health and Caregiving Services LLC as your preferred community provider.

Medicaid & State Programs (Illinois CCP/HSP)

For those who qualify financially and functionally, the State of Illinois offers programs to help seniors age at home instead of moving to a facility.

Best For: Long-term, basic support at home for low-income seniors.
How it Works: Programs like the Community Care Program (CCP) provide "Homemaker" services to assist with laundry, cleaning, and meal prep.
Eligibility: Determined by your local Case Coordination Unit (CCU) or the Department of Human Services.

Long-Term Care Insurance (Private Policies)

If you have a private Long-Term Care (LTC) policy, it is often the best way to fund extended daily assistance.

Best For: Personalized and Certified caregiving (help with bathing, dressing, and meals).
How it Works: Most policies "trigger" once a client needs help with at least two activities of daily living (ADLs) or has a cognitive impairment.
What’s Covered: It pays for the "non-medical" support that health insurance usually skips.
Note: We can assist you in submitting the necessary nursing notes and documentation to your insurer to help streamline your reimbursement.

Medicare (pending certification 03/24/2026)

Medicare is designed for short-term, "skilled" medical needs usually following a hospital stay or a change in health status.

Best For: Nursing services, physical therapy, and social work.
How it Works: To qualify, a doctor must certify that you are "homebound" and require professional medical monitoring or treatment.
What’s Covered: Skilled nursing and Medical Social Worker at 100%
The Limitation: Medicare typically does not cover long-term "custodial care" (like 24/7 sitting or help with chores) if that is the only care you need.
